I have recently returned to scale modelling after many years. I have always used the colour schemes on the box and have never tried any weathering techniques. I would like to learn how to do such skills as 'washing', 'pin washing' and 'dry brushing'. Can you help by instructing me how to do these basics of painting?

SMH Responds Weathering is a big topic, I can think of a dozen articles on this website alone dealing with the topic. Nothing takes away the plastic look of model more than painting it and then giving it "age" by weathering.
