My wife gave me a hand this time around and despite the fact I am utilizing a space of about 10' by 6' for both my computerized office and my hobby bench, I have a real sense of workshop organization.
The trick is to develop individual storage containers for parts to specific models and another for tools and shelves for the working models. This keeps your workspace focused on the project you are working on instead of the "one space fits all" concept.
But how do you get there if the tsunami has already rolled in? Revamp your thinking and then do it. Here is a five-point organize or reorganize plan for your workspace whether you have a dedicated space for modeling or you "borrow" the space you need. The critical ingredient is getting off your butt and doing something. It's as simple as that. A lot of people have ideas, but there are few who decide to do something about them now. Not tomorrow. Not next week. But today. Don't put this off!
