Mud Filled Tracks The Easy Way

Muddy tracks

Using Squadron putty is a good way to simulate mud filled tracks on AFV's.

Simply rub the putty into the tracks to fill the gaps as mud would realistically do itself and let this dry overnight.

After painting you have some very convincing and realistic looking muddy tracks as the picture of my Tiger tank clearly shows.

Have fun and happy modeling!

Realistic Mud Mix
by: Anonymous

Here is a mud-making alternative recipe. Mix these five ingredients in roughly equal dabs.
• Earth colored paint, I prefer acrylic
• Bulking agent like ground coffee
• Static grass or individual “blades” clipped from a pot topper
• A few drops of white glue
• Add water to desired consistency like toothpaste
Apply with a paintbrush dipped in water for easy flowing
