That is the case for Lt. Col. Terry Pitts, a Model Railroader overseas wanting to help his son at home.
Thee two have been in communication by phone and Terry learned his son needed some help getting attention for his school's drum corp he recently joined.
"I think my 16-year old son is taking this deployment and its forced separation harder than he's willing to admit," wrote Terry.
The 16-year-old indicated he was disappointed at the number of people who had seen the YouTube video of their recent performance.
